Where to Post a Job in Kenya: Job Boards and Prices Compared (2026)

If you are hiring in Kenya, the hard part is rarely writing the advert. It is choosing where to put it so that the right people see it before the closing date. This guide compares the main places Kenyan employers post jobs in 2026, what each costs according to its own published price list, and which kind of role each one tends to suit. Prices were checked on the providers’ own pages on 25 October 2026 and can change, so confirm on the linked page before you pay.

Disclosure: this guide is published by JobInKenya, which also sells job adverts. Our own offer is listed alongside the others with the same level of detail, and we have tried to be fair about where other boards are the better choice.

Start with what you are hiring for

Before comparing prices, answer three questions. Is the role entry-level and high-volume (sales agents, drivers, customer service), mid-level professional, or senior? Do you need applications to land in your own system, or are you happy to receive CVs by email? And do you want help screening, or only reach? A board that is cheap for a single advert can be expensive if you then spend a week reading unsuitable CVs, and a premium shortlisting service is wasted on a role that attracts hundreds of suitable applicants anyway.

The main options compared

Where Published starting price Worth knowing
MyJobMag KSh 2,900 per job post (pay as you go) Job stays active up to three months and is featured for three weeks. Includes an ATS, screening questions and AI matching of CVs. An unlimited plan is listed at KSh 14,000 a month and a shortlisting service at KSh 24,000 per role.
BrighterMonday KES 5,000 per job (Basic) Large job-seeker database, candidate ranking, assessments and a head-hunting service. Its Basic plan is described as suited to entry-level roles.
Fuzu 6,000 KES per job post (Starter) Starter Gold at 13,000 KES adds more sourcing and testing; a Best Match tier at 30,000 KES has Fuzu’s team build a shortlist. Jobs are shared to Google Jobs.
Saplic Free, up to 10 active posts A multi-country board that says it publishes jobs to Google for Jobs. Good for small firms testing the market at no cost.
LinkedIn Jobs Varies by budget Strongest for senior, professional and tech roles where candidates keep LinkedIn profiles up to date. Pricing is set per campaign in LinkedIn’s own tools.
JobInKenya (our offer) KES 2,500 per featured ad for 14 days Pinned at the top of the jobs page and its category, labelled Featured, with your logo and one social share. A five-ad bundle is KES 10,000. Each employer can try one featured ad free while online payments launch. We do not offer an ATS or shortlisting.

Public sector and government roles

If you are a public body, the rules are different. The Public Service Commission publishes national government vacancies on its jobs page and takes applications through its PSCIMS portal, and the Government Advertising Agency lists adverts from ministries, universities and state agencies. Job boards, including ours, can repeat those adverts for reach, but the official portal remains where candidates must apply.

Which to choose

  • Many entry-level hires: a board with candidate ranking, such as BrighterMonday or MyJobMag, saves screening time.
  • A small business with one opening: start free on Saplic or with a free trial featured ad on JobInKenya, then pay only if you need more reach.
  • Mid-level or specialist roles where you want help screening: Fuzu’s Best Match or MyJobMag’s shortlisting service do the first sift for you.
  • Senior and professional roles: LinkedIn, often alongside one local board.

Most employers get better results from two well-chosen channels than from five. Track how many suitable applicants each channel sends and drop the weakest one next time.

Write an advert that works anywhere

Whichever board you use, the advert itself decides who applies. State the job title as candidates would search for it, the location or whether it is remote, the salary range if you can, the closing date and exactly how to apply. Avoid asking applicants to pay any fee: genuine employers do not charge to apply, and job seekers in Kenya are increasingly warned about adverts that do. Our free fake job advert checker shows the warning signs candidates look for.

Under Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019, the CVs you receive are personal data. Collect only what you need, tell applicants how long you will keep their details, and delete unsuccessful applications when the purpose has ended.

Frequently asked questions

Can I post a job in Kenya for free?

Yes. Saplic lists up to 10 free active posts, several boards offer a free basic listing, and JobInKenya currently offers one free featured ad per employer while online payments launch.

Which job site is cheapest?

Among the published paid prices above, JobInKenya’s featured ad (KES 2,500) and MyJobMag’s pay-as-you-go post (KSh 2,900) are the lowest. They are not identical products: MyJobMag includes an ATS and a longer featured period.
