Share Your Salary or Interview Experience Anonymously

Help other job seekers know what to expect. Share what an employer in Kenya pays, how its interviews work, or what it is like to work there. Reports are anonymous: we do not ask for your name, email or phone number, and every report is checked by hand before anything appears on the site.

What are you sharing?
Your privacy

We do not ask for your name, email or phone. We store what you type in this form plus a scrambled, one-way code made from your internet address, used only to stop spam and deleted with the report. Reports are checked by hand; we remove anything that could identify you or another person, and we only publish summaries for an employer once at least three reports are approved. You can ask us to delete a report by writing to info@jobinkenya.co.ke with its details. This is processed under the Data Protection Act, 2019, on the basis of your consent.

Why Share Your Pay?

Most employers in Kenya do not publish salary ranges, so job seekers often walk into negotiations without any idea of what is fair. Public service pay is set by published scales, but private companies, NGOs and parastatals vary widely. When enough people share what they earn in a role, everyone can negotiate from facts. Your report also helps us keep our salary guides accurate.

How We Protect You

  • No contact details. The form does not collect your name, email or phone number.
  • No raw IP addresses. We keep only a scrambled one-way code to block spam and repeated submissions. It cannot be turned back into your address.
  • Moderated, never automatic. Nothing goes live on its own. We remove details that could identify you or anyone else, such as names of managers or very small teams.
  • Summaries only, and only with enough reports. We publish pay ranges for an employer only after at least three reports are approved, so a single report cannot be traced back to you.
  • Your right to delete. Under the Data Protection Act, 2019, you can ask us to remove a report. Email info@jobinkenya.co.ke with the employer, role and date you submitted it.

What Makes a Useful Report

The most useful salary reports give the job title as it appears on your contract, your gross monthly pay before deductions, the county you work in and the year. If your package includes allowances such as house or commuter allowance, mention them in the details box. For interview reports, describe the stages (aptitude test, panel interview, practical test), the kind of questions asked and how long the process took. For workplace reports, keep to facts about policies, hours and conditions rather than opinions about individuals.

What We Will Not Publish

We reject reports that name or describe individual people, make accusations we cannot check, contain insults, or appear to come from someone with a conflict of interest. We also reject anything that looks like an advert. Pay figures that are clearly unrealistic are left out of summaries. Employers who believe a published summary is inaccurate can write to us, and we will review it.

Who Can Submit

Anyone who works or has worked for an employer in Kenya in the last few years, or who has been through its hiring process, can submit a report. Interns, casual workers and contract staff are welcome, because their pay is often the hardest to find. Please submit one report per job, and only about roles you held or interviews you attended yourself. To keep the system light and fast, the form works without any apps or sign-ups and takes about two minutes on a phone. If you change jobs later, you are welcome to send a new report for the new role.
