Shop Drawing & Submittal Management
- Lead technical reviews of mechanical shop drawings, including HVAC plant room layouts, ductwork, piping schematics, riser diagrams, fire protection layouts, and plumbing/drainage details.
- Verify shop drawings against design drawings (P&IDs, layouts) and specifications to ensure compliance with design intent, equipment schedules, codes, and standards.
- Manage the review and approval process for mechanical material submittals, including datasheets for chillers, AHUs, pumps, fans, pipes, valves, and insulation.
- Coordinate mechanical shop drawings with structural (e.g., builder’s work, penetrations) and architectural (e.g., ceiling voids, plant room access) submissions to resolve interface clashes proactively.
Technical Coordination & Information Control
- Oversee the Request for Information (RFI) process for mechanical matters, ensuring clarity, coordinating with design consultants, and resolving issues promptly.
