Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kilifi for Sous Chefs & Chef de Parties. The roles involve planning and preparing high-quality meals, assisting in creating menus, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are upheld. Sous Chefs will oversee the kitchen team during shifts, provide leadership, and support menu development, while Chef de Parties will focus on managing specific kitchen sections. Both roles contribute to maintaining consistency and excellence in culinary offerings.
Qualifications
- Culinary skills including cooking techniques, food preparation, and menu planning
- Experience with kitchen operations, supply management, and adhering to health and safety standards
- Strong leadership and teamwork abilities for managing and collaborating with kitchen staff
- Creativity in recipe development and the ability to adapt to customer preferences
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle high-pressure situations
- Formal culinary training or certification is advantageous
- Experience in hospitality and luxury dining environments is a plus
