Base: Nairobi

Coverage: kawangware, kabiria, Nairobi west, Rongai,kiserian, matasia, ngong,

Base:. Meru

Coverage: meru, isiolo, mutuati, nkubu, nanyuki, narumoru,and surrounding areas.

3 Base: Nairobi

Coverage:kikuyu,Dagoretti,limuru, gitaru, wangige, ruaka, banana, and surrounding areas.

Remuneration :

Monthly Retainer ( KSh 20,000

Commission: Attractive commission per case sold (Minimum targets apply)

Transport: Use of public transport required for market visits and fieldwork (Travelling Allowance will be provided )

Role Summary :

The Trade Development Sales Representative shall be responsible for introducing, promoting, and selling our sanitary pad products to wholesalers and retail dukas within the assigned region. This is a highly field-oriented role requiring rally time market visits, active sales engagement, and strong relationship-building to grow our market presence and sales volumes.

Market Development & Sales

  • Introduce and present the company’s sanitary pad products to wholesalers and onboard them as trade partners.
  • Manage the product flow from wholesalers to retail dukas to ensure steady availability and secondary sales growth.
  • Drive product visibility, correct pricing, and display in dukas to build brand presence and increase retail sales.

Field Operations

  • Visit wholesalers and retail dukas frequently to monitor stock levels, reposition products, follow up on orders, and ensure timely restocking.
  • Use public transport and walk extensively to reach target markets and potential customers.
  • Carry small quantities of product samples where necessary for demonstration and immediate sales.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Track competitor activities, pricing, availability, and market trends at both wholesale and retail levels.

Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports to the Area Sales Manager/Supervisor covering:

  • Wholesalers onboarded
  • Orders secured
  • Uplifed volumes from wholesalers to dukas
  • Number of dukas serviced
  • Market feedback and issues encountered
  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with the distributor’s sales and distribution teams to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Coordinate with other sales representatives and supervisors to share insights and improve market coverage.
  • Aggressive, proactive, and persuasive in trade development with the ability to approach and convince wholesalers to list new products.
  • Strong background in field sales and order booking, particularly in FMCG or general trade distribution.
  • Skilled in creating product displays and implementing in-store visibility and pricing strategies.
  • Energetic and comfortable working outdoors, using public transport, walking long distances, and occasionally spending nights out of base.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; able to build strong relationships with trade partners.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills to manage routes, follow up on orders, and meet sales targets.
  • Experience in FMCG, trade, or distribution channels is preferred.
