Contract Duration: 11 months (renewable based on performance and funding)
Level of Effort: 100% (Full-time)
Role Overview
The Mentors will serve as peer trainers and business coaches for young women
participating in Y-WISE. They will facilitate training sessions, offer one-on-one mentorship, and support participants to start and sustain enterprises.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy sessions.
- Provide business coaching and mentorship to assigned mentees.
- Mobilize participants for training and mentorship sessions.
- Assist in data collection, beneficiary tracking, and documentation.
- Support beneficiaries develop viable business plans and conduct site follow up upon business start-up.
- Support the inclusion of young mothers and women with disabilities
- Support beneficiaries in developing business plans and accessing seed grants.
- Participate in monitoring and documentation of success stories.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in ICT, Business, Entrepreneurship, or related field.
- Experience in youth mentorship, training, or small business management.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Must be a resident or alumni from Migori County institutions (Rongo University, Kakrao TVET, etc.)
