The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the cable manufacturing unit, ensuring efficient production, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with safety protocols. This role involves managing a team of operators and technicians to meet production targets for various cable types including power, control, instrumentation, and fiber optic cables
Key Responsibilities
- Implement quality control checks at each stage of production.
- Ensure products meet industry standards
- Collaborate with QA/QC teams to resolve non-conformities
- Enforce safety regulations and conduct regular safety briefings.
- Report and coordinate maintenance of equipment with the engineering team.
- Maintain a clean and organized production floor.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, scrap rates, and downtime.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Analyze performance metrics and recommend process improvements.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- 5–7 years of experience in cable manufacturing or similar industrial production.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, lean manufacturing
- Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Kaizen certification and Safety certifications.
- Training in cable testing standards and equipment.
