Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Procurement Specialist, based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Procurement Specialist will oversee the process of creating and managing purchase orders, evaluating suppliers, and negotiating contracts. The role involves conducting market research, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and executing procurement strategies to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery of goods and services. Additional tasks include monitoring procurement processes to meet compliance and organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Experience in Purchase Orders, Supplier Evaluation, and Procurement
- Strong skills in Contract Negotiation and Analytical Skills
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain processes
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools (preferred)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience in manufacturing or a similar industry is an advantage
