Procurement Officer – Pharmaceuticals
JOB PURPOSE:
- To support Pharmacy efficiency by ensuring 100% fill rate.
- To manage optimal Pharmaceutical inventory levels.
- Plan the procure-to-pay processes for Pharmaceuticals in conjunction with Payables accountant.
- Cost management through implementation of procurement policies. • Team work with procurement team..
- Assist the procurement manager drive strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Work closely with Pharmaceutical and inventory teams to support service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in supplier prequalification and tendering processes.
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant professional membership to KISM OR CIPS/PPB certification.
- Professional supply chain qualification is an added advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Procurement & Logistics and at least Pharmaceutical technologist certification.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in procurement, of which 2 years should be in healthcare or Pharmaceutical setting.
