Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Policy Engagement and Knowledge Translation Specialist located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Policy Engagement and Knowledge Translation Specialist will be responsible for facilitating the translation of research findings into policy recommendations, engaging with stakeholders to promote the integration of evidence-based interventions into policy and practice, developing communication materials to disseminate research findings, and organizing workshops and events to promote the use of evidence in policy-making. Additionally, the specialist will collaborate with researchers, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure that research findings are accessible and relevant to policy-makers.
Qualifications
- Experience in policy engagement, stakeholder management, and advocacy
- Excellent communication skills, including writing and presenting for diverse audiences
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with researchers, policy-makers, and other stakeholders
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
- Knowledge of the local policy environment and development sector in Kenya is a plus
- Master’s degree in Public Policy, International Development, Social Sciences, or related field<
