Major Responsibilities
- Provide timely and actionable paralegal and business affairs support for regional lawyers and business teams.
- Draft and review contracts for the NBA and BAL’s businesses, in particular for fan events, grassroots programs, basketball operations, service providers, and certain revenue deals.
- Coordinate and implement due diligence process for prospective business partners and service providers.
- Attend to general corporate and administrative legal matters.
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Copilot, document management software, and other software programs.
- Strong analytical, writing, communication, and organizational skills, as well as strong problem solving and collaborative skills.
- Ability to perform independent project-based work, make independent decisions, and work with minimal supervision.
- Experience with contract drafting, with an exceptional level of attention to detail.
- Experience with Compliance/due diligence and/or contract management processes.
- Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and complete tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.
Experience Needed
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as a professional paralegal at a top-tier multinational law firm, multi-national company, or similar office.
- Educational Background Required
- Bachelor’s Degree
