About the Role
Outreach & Engagement Officers support all aspects of #ENGAGE’s work, working closely with the Capacity Building Focal Point and Mobilisation Lead. They play a key role in expanding MYCP’s membership, strengthening engagement with youth-led organizations, supporting training initiatives, and ensuring that members are actively involved in campaigns, capacity building, and regional networks. You will report to the Director of Outreach & Engagement. This is a volunteer position, with expectation of 5-7 hours per week. There are three posts available.
Key Responsibilities
- Support outreach to youth- and child-led organizations to expand MYCP’s membership base, developing and maintaining engagement strategies
- Work with the Capacity Building Focal Point to organize workshops, training sessions, and peer-learning exchanges, and the Mobilisation Lead to amplify grassroots initiatives and campaigns
- Help build and manage communication channels for members, including newsletters, social media, and internal platforms
- Track member participation in events, campaigns, and trainings to strengthen engagement, and provide logistical and coordination support for #ENGAGE’s activities
- Gather feedback from members and contribute ideas to improve participation and inclusivity
Person Specification
- Aged between 18 and 30 years old
- Strong interest/experience in youth engagement, outreach and community-building
- Excellent organisational, facilitation and communication skills and command of English (fluency in one or more other UN languages is desirable)
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to youth empowerment and MYCP’s values
- Creative, reliable, and proactive problem-solver
