Githunguri Dairy Farmers Co-operative Society Ltd plays a key role in marketing of its member’s milk which is processed and packed in form of pouch packed fresh milk, Tetra Classic fresh milk, lala, butter, ghee and cream under the flagship of “Fresha Dairy Products”.

The society invites applications from suitable candidates to fill the following vacant position
Job Purpose
To provide strategic leadership and direction for overall plant operations with key focus areas, Production, Quality Assurance, Logistics and Inventory. The job holder will be the Principal Assistant to the General Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage dairy operations, milk processing, packaging, quality assurance, plant maintenance, logistics and inventory control.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that align with business goals and growth objectives.
- Translate plant strategy into actionable plans and ensure their successful execution.
- Maintain strict quality control measures throughout the production process to meeting industry standards while minimizing costs and exceeding customer expectation.
- Oversee implementation of operational policies, systems, and SOPs in line with best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree in Business Management, Food Science, Operations Management or related field
- Master degree of the above is preferred
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a senior leadership role preferably in an FMCG
- Proven experience in managing cross functional teams
- Proven record of leading and optimizing production processes for efficiency and quality
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Experience with implementing and utilizing technology to improve operational efficiency
