Pursuant to Section 12(3)(d) of the County Governments Act, 2017, as read with Sections 8, 9, and 46 of the County Assembly Services Act, 2017, and the First Schedule thereto, vacancies for one man and one woman have arisen in the membership of the County Assembly Service Board, County Assembly of Trans Nzoia.
Qualifications
For appointment as a member of the Board, a person must:
- Be a citizen of Kenya;
- Hold at least a degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
- Have at least ten (10) years’ experience in public affairs; and
- Meet the requirements of Leadership and Integrity under Chapter Six of the Constitution.

Interested persons who qualify to serve as Members of the Board are invited to submit their applications accompanied by the following documents:
- Application Letter
- Certified copies of academic and professional certificates together with relevant testimonials
- Certified copy of National Identity Card/Kenyan Passport
- Detailed Curriculum Vitae
- Applications should be submitted in sealed envelopes, clearly marked: “Application for Member of the County Assembly Service Board”

Shortlisting Requirements
Shortlisted applicants shall be required to bring along original copies of the above documents and the following additional documents:
- Current Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
- Valid Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
- Current Clearance Certificate from the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
- Current Certificate of Records (Good Conduct) from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations
- Current Clearance Certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
Additional notes
- Applicants holding foreign degree qualifications must submit a valid Certificate of Recognition and Equivalence from the Commission on University Education (CUE)
- Only shortlisted candidates shall be contacted
- Successful applicants shall undergo a vetting and approval process by the County Assembly to qualify for appointment
