Job Requirements: Academic and Professional Qualifications::
Pursuant to Section 26 (1) (b) and (3) of the Energy Act, 2019, a person to be appointed as a Member of Energy and Petroleum Tribunal must possess the following qualifications.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in any of the following field: law, petroleum and energy or any other relevant field from a university recognized in Kenya
- Have knowledge and experience in law, petroleum, and energy
- Must not be in the employment of the Government, Agency, or the Authority
- Must be a citizen of Kenya;
- Be a member of the relevant professional association in good standing
- Qualification and experience in alternative dispute resolution will be an added advantage.
- Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on leadership and integrity.
