The Role
We are seeking a strategic and well-connected Marketing and Sales Manager to build and lead our commercial efforts. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape the revenue strategy of a high-growth startup. The ideal candidate will have an established network within corporate marketing departments and a deep understanding of the marketing and advertising ecosystem in Kenya.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & Execute Go-to-Market Strategy: Lead the commercial launch of Active Vision Media in Nairobi, creating strategies to rapidly acquire advertiser clients.
- Build & Manage a High-Performance Pipeline: Target and secure partnerships with key decision-makers at corporates, advertising agencies, and major event organizers.
- Leverage Your Network: Utilize existing relationships with marketing directors, brand managers, and agency leads to build a foundational client base.
- Forge Strategic Alliances: Partner with marketing umbrella bodies and industry associations to establish Active Vision Media as a thought leader and preferred advertising partner.
- Represent the Brand: Act as the face of the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
Who You Are
- A Connector: You have a proven track record and a little black book of contacts within corporate marketing departments (e.g., FMCG, Telecom, Banking, Real Estate) and leading marketing agencies.
- A Strategic Seller: You excel at selling high-value, innovative solutions to senior-level executives. You understand the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing.
- Industry Insider: You have 5+ years of experience in a senior sales or marketing role within a marketing agency, media house, or a B2B service provider to marketing departments.
- A Results-Oriented Leader: You are driven by targets and KPIs, and you thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where you can build from the ground up.
- A Believer in Data: You are passionate about selling a product that offers transparent, real-time analytics and demonstrable ROI to clients.
