Job Purpose
To set up, operate, and maintain machinery in a production environment.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Machine Setup and Operation:
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle.
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
- Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
Quality Control:
- Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
- Test operation of machines periodically.
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
- Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and quality standards.
Maintenance:
- Perform regular maintenance to ensure machines are functioning correctly.
- Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
- Report any malfunctions or abnormalities to supervisors.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear).
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
Documentation:
- Maintain activity logs.
- Record production and operational data.
- Any other duties assigned
- Relationships and working contacts
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is a must
- 1-3 years’ similar experience
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Good communication skills
- Able to develop self & others
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Adaptability ease
