Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Loan Officer based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Loan Officer will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, coordinating loan origination processes, and ensuring compliance with underwriting standards. They will assist clients by explaining loan products, determining eligibility, and customizing repayment plans. Additional responsibilities include fostering strong customer relationships, providing exceptional service, and working collaboratively with other departments to meet organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Experience in Loan Origination, Loan Underwriting, and related financial processes
- Strong background in Customer Service with the ability to foster long-term client relationships
- Knowledge of finance and lending practices with relevant experience as a Loan Officer
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Atleast Form four Certificate minimum but with Microfinance Work Experience.
- Ability to work efficiently in an on-site setting in Kitengela
- Proficiency in identifying client needs and tailoring loan products
- Experience in micro-finance or financial services targeting small and medium enterprises is an advantage
