Job Function:
To manage strategic distributors and customer accounts within the animal health sector. This role focuses on driving sales growth, increasing market share, and building strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders within the poultry segment in Kenya. Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute strategic account plans for key clients and distributors.
- Conduct regular farm visits and technical meetings to promote product usage and value.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and promotional agreements.
- Provide technical training and support to farm managers, veterinarians, and distributor teams.
- Troubleshoot health challenges and recommend appropriate product solutions.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities in the segment.
- Track competitor activity and market trends to inform strategy.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and prepare monthly performance reports.
- Coordinate with supply chain, regulatory, and finance teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Represent the company at industry events, seminars, and trade shows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine.
- A tertiary qualification in Life Sciences, Sales, Marketing or Business will be an added advantage.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 8 years sales experience, 3 of which must be in poultry vaccines.
- Familiarity with hatchery management and the poultry market dynamics is an advantage and preferred.
- Strong sales track record and evidence of delivering on targets consistently.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite.
