Your Role & Impact
As our IT Intern, your work goes beyond fixing computers or resetting passwords.
You will be responsible for strengthening our platform’s stability, supporting development tasks, ensuring secure operations, and improving the overall tech environment behind ekarihub.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day IT support for the ekarihub mobile and web platform
- Assist in system maintenance, updates, and performance optimization
- Support the development team in testing new features, identifying bugs, and documenting issues
- Monitor platform performance, uptime, and user technical feedback
- Help manage databases, backups, API connections, and integrations
- Offer support in cybersecurity, user access control, and data protection
- Assist in setting up devices, networks, and internal IT tools
- Work closely with product and tech teams to ensure smooth functionality
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Propose tech improvements, automation ideas, and efficiency solutions
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- Strong understanding of IT systems, software, and hardware
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of programming (e.g., PHP, JavaScript, Python, HTML/CSS)
- Familiarity with databases (MySQL, SQL, Firebase, etc.)
- Experience with mobile or web platforms is an added advantage
- Knowledge of APIs, integrations, and testing tools
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Previous internship/experience in tech support or software development is a plus
- Knowledge of the agribusiness industry (advantageous but not required)
