Duties and Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Control
- Monitor and manage daily inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and prevent overstocking or stock-outs.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical stocktakes, and reconcile variances with accounting records.
- Track and report stock movements including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and dispatches.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the ERP or inventory management system.

Stock Valuation & Costing
- Apply appropriate costing methods (FIFO, weighted average, etc.) to ensure accurate stock valuation.
- Assist in preparation of cost reports including cost of sales, margin analysis, and stock aging reports.
- Work closely with the accounts department to support month-end and year-end inventory reconciliations.
Systems & Process Management
- Ensure all stock transactions are accurately captured in the ERP or inventory management software.
- Support continuous improvement of inventory processes and internal controls to reduce errors, losses, and wastage.
- Identify and escalate system or process gaps affecting stock accuracy and recommend corrective actions.
Operations Support
- Collaborate with procurement, warehousing, production, and sales teams to align stock levels with operational needs.
- Verify and validate stock documentation such as GRNs, delivery notes, and issue vouchers.
- Assist in monitoring stock quality and shelf-life, and flag slow-moving or obsolete items.
Key Requirement Skills And Qualification
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field
- 2 years’ experience in inventory control, preferably within an FMCG environment
- Strong accounting background with solid understanding of stock valuation and cost principles
- Hands-on experience using ERP systems or inventory management software
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other data analysis tools is an added advantage
