Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, breads, and accompaniments.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Learn and grow within the kitchen team, contributing ideas and enthusiasm.
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly. Check quality of ingredients.
- Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages.
- Support the other chefs in daily kitchen operations and menu preparation.

Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar in a reputable hotel
- Basic knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and recipes.
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods
- (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
- A certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts is an added advantage.
