Are you passionate about natural products, traditional herbal knowledge, and scientific innovation? We are seeking a skilled Herbal Product Formulation Specialist to support a research-driven initiative aimed at strengthening herbal product development and emerging value chains in Kajiado County.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the formulation and standardization of selected herbal products
- Conduct literature reviews, ingredient validation, and efficacy assessments
- Support laboratory testing, product stability studies, and quality control processes
- Document formulation processes for research reporting and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with local communities, herbalists, and value chain actors
- Provide technical input for commercialization pathways of herbal products
- Contribute to training, knowledge transfer, and stakeholder engagement activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Herbal Medicine, Pharmacognosy, Natural Products Chemistry, Botany, or related field
- Experience in product formulation, phytochemical analysis, or natural product R&D
- Familiarity with herbal value chains, local indigenous knowledge, or community-based research
- Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills
