Move on Afrika is seeking to engage a results-oriented and self-driven Gender Audit Expert to provide high-level expertise in the design and implementation of inclusive strategies across diverse assignments. The Expert will provide high-level technical input and strategic guidance to governmental bodies, NGOs, and community-based organizations, ensuring that gender equality and social inclusion are embedded throughout project lifecycles.
As our Gender Audit Expert, you will:
- Attend technical defence and inception meetings to advocate for inclusive approaches and validate gender-sensitive methodologies.
- Conduct institutional gender and inclusion audits to assess responsiveness across policies, programs, and operations.
- Design and implement inclusive strategies tailored to the needs of women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
- Develop tools and frameworks for collecting and analyzing sex-, age-, and disability-disaggregated data.
- Provide technical input into project proposals, reports, and policy briefs aligned with national and global inclusion standards.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops on gender equality, disability inclusion, and youth empowerment.
- Support inclusive economic development initiatives, especially in business and logistics sectors.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote inclusive governance and service delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of inclusion strategies and recommend improvements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s/Advanced degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields.
- Proven expertise in conducting institutional gender audits, evaluations, or similar large-scale gender diagnostics.
- Demonstrated experience working in multi-country, multi-cultural African contexts.
- Strong knowledge of gender equality frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, facilitation, and report writing skills
- Fluency in English and French (spoken and written) is required.
- Ability to engage with senior leadership and governance structures effectively.
