Our primary goal is to eliminate preventable blindness in the East African region by improving accessibility to eye care, both in terms of location and cost. We have supported more than 80,000 people with free health services, performed over 4,000 cataract surgeries, and delivered more than 6,000 early interventions to those at risk of blindness.
Role Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with experience in fundraising, grant writing, and campaign development. This role will be responsible for preparing grant proposals and fundraising requests, developing and implementing fundraising strategies, and conducting research on potential funding opportunities. The ideal candidate is passionate about healthcare issues, and skilled at turning ideas into funding opportunities
Qualifications
- Experience in grant writing and proposal preparation
- Skills in developing and implementing fundraising strategies
- Research skills to identify funding opportunities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the healthcare or non-profit industry
- Previous fundraising experience
