Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic English Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English language and communication skills to students pursuing health, biomedical science, and technology programs. This role requires the ability to blend language instruction with the technical context of the students’ field of study.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to students at various levels.
- Develop curriculum and instructional materials that integrate English language learning with biomedical and health science contexts.
- Teach academic writing, scientific communication, reading comprehension, and oral communication skills relevant to health and biomedical sciences.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and effective communication.
- Collaborate with faculty from science and technology departments to support interdisciplinary learning.
- Stay updated with best practices in English language teaching and academic communication.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Teaching certification or TESOL/TEFL qualification is highly desirable.
- Experience teaching English in a higher education or technical/biomedical context is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of academic and professional English, including scientific writing.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit students with diverse academic backgrounds.
