Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Engineer – Procurement Officer, located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The role involves designing electrical solutions, managing power distribution systems, and ensuring the effective implementation of electrical engineering projects. Additional responsibilities include sourcing materials, evaluating vendors, and overseeing the alignment of procurement processes with project requirements.
Qualifications
- In depth knowledge of Electrical LV MV HV Items and projects.
- Knowledge of Electricity, Power Distribution, and Power Systems.
- Experience in procurement activities related to electrical engineering projects
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Knowledge of Electricity and Power Distribution
- Professional certification in electrical engineering is a plus
- BOQ and Project Estimation skills
- Strong negotiation and research abilities
- Experience in electrical engineering projects
- Purchase Orders and Procurement skills
- Strong knowledge of ERP system.
- Contract Negotiation skills
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience – 5 Years plus in the Electrical procurement or MEP Company/Field.
