Driver – TRA 10 (Five (5) Posts)
- To drive Authority’s vehicles and transport authorized personnel for official purposes assigned from time to time.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Driving motor vehicle as authorized.
- Carrying out routine checks on vehicles.
- Maintaining work tickets for vehicles assigned.
- Ensuring security and safety for the vehicle on and off the road.
- Ensure adherence on motor vehicle inspection schedules.
- Timely reporting of accidents and follow up of police abstract.
- Ensuring safety of persons and/or goods in the vehicle.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle.
Minimum Academic, Professional Qualifications and Experience
- At least three (3) years’ experience in the grade of Driver II or in a comparable position.
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D (plain) or equivalent qualification.
- Valid driving license free from any current endorsements and valid for any of the classes of vehicles or plants which the officer is required to drive.
- Passed Occupational Trade Test for Drivers Grade III from Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or Ministry of Roads and Public Works.
- First-Aid Refresher Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from
- St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution.
- Passed Suitability Test for Drivers Grade III from Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology or Ministry of Roads and Public Works.
- Defensive Driving Certificate
- Meets the provisions of Chapter Six of the constitution
