How You’ll Deliver Impact
- Lead national advocacy to advance food fortification compliance, enforcement, and policy adoption across relevant ministries and government agencies.
- Cultivate and sustain high-level government partnerships, ensuring alignment through formal MOUs, structured engagements, and continuous strategic dialogue.
- Oversee legal and regulatory compliance, securing all necessary approvals and tracking evolving policies to position Sanku as a proactive, compliant leader in the nutrition sector.
- Develop and execute a national government relations strategy, identifying and advancing partnership opportunities that expand Sanku’s reach and impact.
- Provide strategic guidance to internal teams on policy, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment with Sanku’s mission and Kenya’s nutrition agenda.
- Strengthen Sanku’s policy influence by leading stakeholder mapping, coordinating engagement forums, and representing Sanku in key fortification and nutrition platforms.
- Engage with industry and local authorities to support compliance, drive fortification adoption, and unlock tax or regulatory incentives that enable scale and sustainability.
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of work experience, with 3+ years of experience related to Government Relations Management.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Public Health, Consumer Science, Social Transformation (Master’s Degree preferred) or any other related field.
- Strong advocacy experience with government institutions, backed by a deep understanding of Kenya’s political landscape, power dynamics, and government operations.
- Extremely strong communication, negotiation and representational skills and ability to work with partners at different levels and experience in successfully developing networks and innovative partnerships.
