Credit Officer
This is a full-time on-site role located in Eldoret for a Credit Officer. The Credit Officer will be responsible for assessing creditworthiness, managing credit applications, preparing credit reports, and ensuring compliance with company credit policies. The role involves evaluating financial statements, conducting client interviews, and maintaining relationships with borrowers. Additionally, the Credit Officer will monitor loan disbursement and repayment schedules, and take necessary actions on delinquent accounts.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of credit assessment, evaluation of financial statements, and credit report preparation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to conduct client interviews and maintain borrower relationships
- Knowledge of credit policies, compliance standards, and loan management
- Ability to monitor loan disbursement, repayment schedules, and manage delinquent accounts
- Proficiency in financial analysis and risk assessment
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience working in the financial services industry is a plus
