We seek a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual with 5+ years’ experience having an impeccable reputation for delivering quality projects within time, quality, and cost parameters. This position requires that the person resides in North Rift, Kenya, where the office is located. It also involves frequent traveling to remote locations within Kenya or surrounding countries.
Reporting to the National Director
Essential criteria & qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is required. Advanced degree or professional certification is an advantage
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction projects with in-depth understanding of advanced construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Ability to work across various teams with excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build consensus, including demonstrated experience managing and supervising financial, administrative, and procurement personnel;
- Advanced skills in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and drafting programs (AutoCAD/PowerCADD, SolidWorks/ProE).
- Driver’s license required [at least Class B], with the ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
- Familiarity with grants management, including demonstrated knowledge of rules, regulations, and reporting requirements;
- Excellent oral and written English and Swahili fluency are required, along with excellent communication skills.
- Experience liaising with a range of stakeholders regarding financial and administrative issues.
