This is a remote, part-time volunteer role for a Community Assistant – Regional Chapters (Africa & Asia). The Community Assistant will support our global expansion as NGO by activating local chapters in cities across Sub-Saharan Africa and South/Southeast Asia (e.g., Lagos, Nairobi, Delhi, Mumbai, Dhaka, Jakarta).

Your core responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and connecting with female founders and ecosystem players
  • Coordinating breakfast events and community gatherings
  • Supporting WhatsApp or online groups to foster engagement
  • Contributing to event organization, outreach, and communication
  • Managing local partnerships and reporting ecosystem insights
  • While the role is flexible, it’s ideal for someone proactive, community-driven, and well-connected to their local innovation or entrepreneurship scene.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer/community service and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication (English; local language a plus)
  • Event coordination or planning experience
  • Sales or outreach experience with ecosystem players is a plus
  • Independent, proactive, and mission-aligned with women’s entrepreneurship
  • Familiarity with the needs and challenges of startups in Africa and Asia
  • Compensation: This is a performance-based volunteer opportunity, not tied to working hours. We compensate by outcomes measured in engaged female founders, connected organisations, hosted or supported events.
