About the Role
Royal Mabati Factory Limited is seeking a highly driven and strategic Commercial Manager to lead the company’s sales and marketing functions. The role involves developing and executing strategies that drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and strengthen customer relationships. The successful candidate will provide leadership across sales, marketing, and brand management, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed company targets.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team to deliver measurable results.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Engage clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Monitor sales metrics, prepare performance reports, and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with technical and product teams to ensure seamless client service delivery.
- Track payments, manage accounts, and ensure timely collections.
Marketing and Brand Management
- Design and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
- Oversee brand communication, social media presence, and advertising initiatives.
- Plan and execute events, exhibitions, and promotional activities to enhance brand visibility.
- Manage the marketing budget and measure return on investment (ROI) for campaigns.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Support product launches and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
Customer and Market Development
- Strengthen customer satisfaction and retention through relationship management and service quality.
- Drive expansion into new markets across Kenya, the EAC, and COMESA regions.
- Develop B2B and B2C growth strategies with measurable KPIs.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead cross-functional collaboration between sales, marketing, and operations teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer focus.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, goal setting, and team development initiatives.
Education and Experience Requirements
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications in Sales or Marketing are an added advantage.
Experience
- Proven experience in sales and marketing management, preferably in a commercial or technical industry.
- Demonstrated ability to grow revenue, manage teams, and expand into new markets.
- Experience managing showroom sales, exports to EAC/COMESA, and customer service operations.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and digital marketing tools.
- Strong financial acumen with knowledge of budgeting, pricing, and ROI analysis.
