Role Overview:
As a Collections Officer, you will be at the forefront of managing field collections, negotiating repayment plans, coordinating with auctioneers, and driving the sale of repossessed assets. This is not just a collections job — you’ll also support asset recovery and execute sales for vehicles or properties in default.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field visits to recover outstanding loans (especially overdue and non-performing)
- Negotiate repayment plans, settlements, or reschedules with delinquent clients
- Liaise with auctioneers and valuers for repossession and sale of assets (vehicles & property)
- Market and sell repossessed assets — generate leads, engage potential buyers, and close deals
- Maintain accurate records of all collection and recovery activities
- Provide regular reports on collections performance, recovery progress, and sales
- Ensure all activities comply with microfinance and regulatory policies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or similar
- At least 2 years’ experience in collections or debt recovery, preferably in microfinance
- Experience dealing with auctioneers / asset recovery (vehicles or property) is a strong advantage
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Proven sales ability (ability to close recovered asset sales)
- Strong record‑keeping, analytical thinking, and risk‑assessment skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and credit / collections systems
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for field work
