Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend to all patients presenting at the facility during the night shift.
- Conduct physical examinations, make diagnoses, prescribe treatment, and manage patient care.
- Provide emergency medical services, including stabilization of critical patients before referral if necessary.
- Perform minor surgical and medical procedures within scope of practice.
- Provide handover to the day doctor and nursing team at the end of the shift.
- Monitor patient admissions, discharges, and overnight inpatients.
- Ensure availability of medical supplies and report any shortages or incidents.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and infection control standards within the clinical area.
- Ensure all diagnostic and treatment protocols are followed according to company and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain open communication with the Senior Physician & management.
- Document all incidents, referrals, and patient transfers in the night duty report.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Competence in emergency care and minor procedures.
- Team leadership and supervisory ability during night shifts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION
- A Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Medicine from a recognized institution.
- Registration: Must be registered by the Clinical Officers Council.
- License: Must hold a valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical practice experience in a hospital, medical centre, or diagnostic facility.
- Proven experience in emergency and outpatient care, including night or shift-based duties.
- Interviews will be done on Rolling basis
