Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:
- Overall in charge of all catering and kitchen operations;
- Planning menus and special functions;
- Supervising procurement and storage of food supplies;
- Training and appraising subordinate staff;
- Ensuring compliance with nutrition and sanitation regulations;
- Preparing reports and advising management on catering issues; and
- Performing any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Served as Cook 1 or its equivalent for a minimum period of 3 years;
- Diploma in Catering Management, Hotel and Institutional Management, or equivalent; and
- Proven leadership and integrity in catering operations.
