Job Summary:
The Business Central Functional Consultant is responsible for analysing business requirements, designing functional solutions, and configuringMicrosoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to meet client needs. The consultant serves as a key liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring smooth implementation, customization, and support of the ERP system. Additionally, the role requires preparing documentation, providing user training, and offering post-implementation support to ensure effective use of the system.

Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering & Analysis
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather and document business requirements.
- Conduct workshops and gap analyses to identify areas where Business Central can be leveraged for process improvements.
Solution Design & Documentation
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and design documents.
- Prepare configuration and customization specifications.
- Assist in defining system workflows, processes, and reporting requirements.
System Configuration & Implementation
- Configure Business Central modules such as Finance, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Jobs, warehousing and Manufacturing (as applicable).
- Support data migration activities, including data mapping, validation, and testing.
- Conduct system and user acceptance testing (UAT) with clients.
Training & Support
- Deliver end-user training and create user manuals or training materials.
- Provide go-live and post-go-live support.
- Troubleshoot functional issues and liaise with developers for resolution of technical problems.
Project Coordination & Quality Assurance
- Participate in project planning, status updates, and client meetings.
- Ensure deliverables meet business requirements and project timelines.
- Follow implementation methodology and ensure quality and compliance standards are met.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (preferably both SaaS and On-prem).
- Hands-on experience configuring core modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Purchasing, Sales, Jobs).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Power Apps, and integrations (optional but preferred).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Dynamics NAV / Business Central implementations.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification (preferred but not mandatory).
