We are looking for a skilled Billing Manager to oversee and manage all hospital billing operations. This role ensures timely, accurate invoicing, efficient claims processing, and strong revenue performance across the facility.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee all hospital billing and insurance claim workflows
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of NHIF and private insurance claims
- Supervise, guide, and develop the billing team through effective coaching
- Verify billing information from clinical departments for completeness and accuracy
- Liaise closely with financial, operations, and clinical teams to improve billing processes
- Prepare and submit monthly billing and collection reports
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a healthcare-related field
- Three years’ prior experience in a similar role
- Certification in Medical Billing, Coding, HIM, or Revenue Cycle Management is an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of hospital billing
- Strong understanding of NHIF and private insurance processes
- Experience working with hospital information systems
Skills
- Expert knowledge of insurance billing procedures, coding (ICD-10, CPT), and claim submission
- Strong analytical and numerical ability
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in MS Excel, billing software, and hospital information systems
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Leadership skills with experience supervising a team
