We are looking for a Business Development Officer – Bancassurance and partnerships – Retail life, who will play a key role in expanding the life insurance portfolio hence driving the growth and success of the company. The incumbent will be responsible for acquisition of new and profitable business.

Responsibilities
- To implement alternative distribution strategy by selecting, recruiting, training and retaining partner companies.
- Implementing business growth strategies and plans with partners, to realize high performance and promote customer centric service in support of high levels of partner satisfaction.
- Managing and retaining relationships with existing partners and clients.
- Having a thorough knowledge of business products and value proposition for strategic positioning with the clients and partners.
- Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs.
- To create and manage new distribution and reduction of risk to remain within agreed expense budgets.
- To collaborate closely with interfacing departments on developing new products, processes and incentives for partners to drive sale.
- To drive Pioneer Life dominance across partners through provision and facilitation of ordinary life risk and investment solutions.
- Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer need.
Qualifications
- Degree in the fields of: Commerce, Marketing, actuarial, business management
- Experience in insurance is an added advantage
- Applicants should demonstrate:
- High-level communication skills
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Proven ability to negotiate
- Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy
- Conflict resolution
- The ability to self-motivate and motivate a team
- Experience working to and exceeding targets
