Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve revenue targets and expand our market share.
- Identify and capture new business opportunities, clients and business opportunities.
- Build and nurture robust relationships with existing and potential cooperative partners and clients.
- Present and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate and secure new business contracts, ensuring terms and conditions are mutually beneficial.
- Stay abreast of market trends, competitive products, and the prevailing business environment within the insurance sector.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Development Officer, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry and with specific experience in dealing with co-operatives.
- In-depth understanding of the cooperative model and the needs of cooperative members.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- A positive, self-motivated, and results-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
- Familiarity with basic insurance ICT software and proficient in relevant Microsoft MS Office applications.
