Assistant Credit Control Officer
Operational Responsibilities / Tasks (Job Description)
- Handle the loan portfolio and ensure all loans are properly paid.
- Communicate with employers to recover loans for staff who are members of the Sacco.
- Ensure all check-off loans are captured on payrolls for members.
- Reconciliation of member accounts.
- Monitoring defaulted loan status.
- Write timely guarantor notification letters and effect recoveries.
- Follow-up with defaulters and guarantors for recovery.
- Carry out debt collection activities.
- Managing recovery activities as per Sacco recovery policies and procedures
- Submit timely reports to the supervisor.
- Asses the creditworthiness of new and existing members.
- Maintaining accurate records of members payments history and debt recovery efforts.
- Building and maintaining solid relationship with debtors while enforcing collection obligations.
- Loan recovery through collateral, attachments to guarantors disposal of assets through auctioneers.
Job Competencies (Academic, professional and Experience).
- Academic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in cooperative management/banking /business administration or its equivalent.
