We are looking for a motivated Accounting Assistant who is an excellent multitasker with exceptional keen to details, communication and time management skills who will effectively and efficiently manage all accounts payable. The ideal candidate is expected to immediately add value to the accounting practices in finance department. You should be thorough, accurate, and honest with good bookkeeping skills.
To be a successful candidate in this position, you should understand basic Accounting principles and proficiency with computers and software, such as MS Excel or QuickBooks. You should be trustworthy, efficient, and organized.
Reporting
The position reports directly to the Senior Accountant.

Responsibilities
The job holder will handle below but not limited to:
- Follow-up and verification of invoices from all third-party clients which includes but not limited to, suppliers, service providers and casuals’ timesheet.
- Posting of verified and signed suppliers and other payment invoices into the accounting sage system for payment
- Assist in month end close activities including the preparation of journal entries and labor reports and balance sheet reconciliations
- Process all accounts payable activity ensuring transactions are processed timely and accurately, initiating all payments both electronically and with checks, credit card transaction processing Monitoring daily payment communications and answering any queries related to payment status.
- Ensuring payments, amounts and records are correct.
- Any other duty as will be assigned periodically
Education Education, Knowledge & Experience
- Diploma in Business Administration-Accounting, Finance option or related discipline
- Professional Accounting Certification, PA part 2(section 4)
- At least 2 years previous experience in similar / related finance function
- Good working knowledge of accounting system (sage) is added advantage
- Good computer skills with advance Excel and Word
