Key Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance & Filing: Prepare, file, and ensure timely compliance with all statutory tax requirements (PAYE, VAT, NHIF, NSSF, and other returns).
- Data Entry & Record Management: Accurately post all financial transactions into the accounting system and maintain up-to-date ledgers.
- Audits: Support internal and external audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and addressing audit queries.
- Stock Management: Conduct regular shop stock takes and reconcile inventory data with system records.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in accounting and reporting systems.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA Part II or above is an added advantage.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance operations.
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax laws and compliance procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
