Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Must have an earned Bachelor’s / Higher Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse (KRCHN) or its equivalent with three (3) years’ experience in Hospital set up.
- Registered by Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Valid practicing license.
- Must be Computer Literate. OR
- Must have an earned Diploma in Enrolled Community Nurse (ECN) with three (3) years experience in Hospital set up.
- Registered by Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Valid practicing license.
- Must be Computer Literate. OR
- Must have an earned Certificate in Enrolled Community Nurse (ECN) with six (6) years as an Enrolled Community Nurse Grade 5/6.
- Valid practicing license.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly reproductive health, family planning and nursing procedures reports.
- Implement QMS in the department.
- Participation in staff education and staff meeting.
- Taking patient samples, pulses, temperatures and blood pressures.
- Providing emotional support to patients and relatives.
- Carry out technical procedures.
- Maintain nursing supplies inventory.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment.
- Perform comprehensive physical examination.
- Respond to emergency situations to save life and offer prompt treatment.
- Dress wounds and injuries.
- Administer drugs.
- Assess and report on the needs required to support the nursing services.
- Maintaining records on patients/clients personal and health condition/care.
- Plan, implement interventions and prepare periodic reports.
