Role Overview: Production Manager
The Production Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end manufacturing of sauces and jams, transforming a small, ad-hoc operation into a disciplined, efficient, and scalable production system. The role drives performance through structured planning, standardization, and continuous improvement (Kaizen) while ensuring every batch meets quality, safety, and cost standards. The Production Manager will develop, engage, and lead the production team to build a culture of operational excellence and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who can:
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities to meet weekly and monthly output targets on time, in full, and to specification.
- Manage cooking, filling, and packing operations with strong control of yields, downtime, and changeovers.
- Collaborate with the Bio Foods planner to align weekly and monthly production schedules.
- Build internal planning capability to manage short- and medium-term production schedules, including raw material checks and coordination with procurement and warehouse.
Education and Experience Level
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science/Technology, Industrial or Production Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in food or FMCG manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Formal Lean or Kaizen training required; certification or training by Kaizen Institute (or equivalent recognized body) preferred.
