About us:
Maisha Mapya Learning Centre, a well-established and dynamic, Christian nonprofit institution involved in education and community development is seeking to recruit a ENGLISH/PRE-TECH/CAS Teacher for primary level who will be based in Nakuru.
Job Summary:
The ENGLISH/PRE-TECH/CAS Teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons. The role includes creating effective lesson plans, maintaining a positive learning environment, and supporting students’ academic growth. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, participate in school events, and contribute to the overall development of students
1.ENGLISH/PRE-TECH/CASr-JSS section- (BED or DIP in Edu)
What You Will Do
- Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning.
- Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning.
- Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments,) to the learners
- Assess and record students%u2019′ progress and provide grades and feedback.
- Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom.
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings.
- Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events. 8. Observe and understand students%u2019′ behaviour and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, or abuse.
- Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars or conferences.
- Any other duties assigned to you by the management within your capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education Degree, Diploma in Education
- Must have a Teachers Service Commission (TSC) registration number.
- experience as a teacher and CBC competent.
- Strong moral values and discipline. Ability to be flexible in teaching various subjects and age groups.
- additional skill in coo-curricula activities – like Scouting, Drama and Music, Sports
