Role Summary:
Make a network of distributors and dealers across Kenya and lead the development, management, and optimization of Skysail Innovation Kenya Limited business to achieve sales targets through strategic partnerships with dealers. Drive revenue growth through effective dealer relationship management, performance monitoring, and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Distributor, Dealer Development & Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified dealers across target states
- Develop and execute dealer partnership agreements and commercial terms
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans
- Manage dealer credit limits, payment terms, and financial relationships
Sales Target Achievement
- Drive sales through dealer network (70% of company target)
- Monitor and track dealer performance against individual and collective targets
- Implement corrective actions for underperforming territories
- Coordinate with dealers on large project opportunities and tender participation
Training & Support
- Design and deliver comprehensive dealer training programs
- Provide ongoing technical and commercial support to dealer network
- Organize quarterly dealer meets and annual conferences
- Develop sales tools, marketing materials, and product training content
Market Development:
- Analyze market potential and optimize territory allocation
- Support dealers in customer acquisition and lead generation
- Monitor competitive activities and market dynamics
- Identify new market opportunities and expansion possibilities
Required Qualifications Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in channel management or dealer network development
- Solar/renewable energy industry experience preferred
- Prior experience with technical product sales and distribution
Core Competencies
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets through channel partners
- Strong analytical skills for performance tracking and market analysis
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office suite
