Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role based in Nairobi County, Kenya, for a Psychologist specializing in trauma-informed mental health support. The Psychologist will provide counseling services, conduct psychological assessments, and support the mental health needs of data workers. The responsibilities include listening and engaging with individuals or groups, facilitating workshops, and delivering interventions to address workplace-related trauma. The role also involves contributing to the development of mental health strategies tailored to meet the unique needs of digital workers.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Psychology and experience in delivering evidence-based interventions
- Skills in Counseling, including individual and group therapy sessions
- Knowledge of Mental Health principles and awareness of trauma-informed practices
- Experience with Psychological Assessment and diagnostic tools
- Educational background in Psychology, Counseling, Psychiatry, or a related field
- Empathy, active listening skills, and cultural sensitivity
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience supporting individuals in high-stress or digital work environments is an advantage
Requirements:
- Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (Master’s preferred)
- Registration or licensure with a recognized professional body in Kenya
- Location: Nairobi (hybrid/virtual options available)
- Engagement Type: Part-time / consultancy
