Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:
- Drafting engineering drawings for agricultural machinery, equipment, and structures;
- Fabricating agricultural machinery and equipment;
- Carrying out scheduled service and maintenance of machinery and equipment;
- Conducting field demonstrations; and
- Performing any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Agricultural Engineering, Soil and Water Engineering, Farm Power and Machinery, Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, Processing and Structures, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
OR
- Technician Part III Certificate in any of the following disciplines: Agricultural Engineering, Soil and Water Engineering, Farm Power and Machinery, Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, Processing and Structures, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Certificate in computer application skills; and
- Registration with the Engineers Board of Kenya.
