Invicta Child Foundation’s Invicta Libraries initiative aims to establish a network of accessible libraries including school libraries, community branch libraries, and mobile libraries. The project provides trained volunteers and hired tutors to support learners with guided study sessions, homework help, reading clubs, and remedial support. This initiative targets children aged 5-18, especially focusing on low-income and underserved communities. By addressing the lack of access to reading materials, safe study spaces, and tutor support, Invicta Child Foundation aims to enhance literacy and numeracy levels, school retention, and long-term economic opportunities.

Role Description

This is a volunteer role for a Philanthropist at Invicta Child Foundation. The Philanthropist will be responsible for engaging in fundraising activities, researching potential donors, and strategizing investment opportunities. Day-to-day tasks include creating and managing fundraising campaigns, managing donation records, and collaborating with the finance team to ensure proper allocation of funds. This is a hybrid role located in Nairobi County, Kenya, with the flexibility to work from home periodically.

  • Experience in Philanthropy, Fundraising, and engaging with donors
  • Strong Research skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for education and supporting underserved communities
  • Previous experience with non-profits or educational foundations is a plus
